I'm surprised to know that this daylily loves the shade. Almost all hemerocallis need at least four hours of sun a day. I'd be interested to know which one it is that you have.

The flower that only lasts for a day and flowers right through the summer. This plant likes moist conditions and loves a shady spot in my garden.
